RSS

This was an interesting exercise and I managed to add four RSS feeds to my blog through Google reader. Choosing which sites to use probably took a bit of time but I chose four, ABS, ABC News, Field guide to birds, and Womens health by a medical librarian which should be informative. The only one that didn't work was the Powerhouse museum as I kept getting a message "the feed being requested cannot be found". Maybe there was a problem with the site at the time.
Having these feeds readily available will make information on subjects easy to find with less searching involved and content will be up to date. The news comes to you! I am not sure how this would be used at work, but we will be able to assist patrons with enquiries relating to RSS.
